Happy birthday, Mom

My mother worried ‘bout her child
Hoping I wouldn’t run wild
She reared me with values
One day I would see her views.

When I became a teenager
my mother saw danger
She was boundless, creative,
reassuring and active.

I grew up and soon left my home
I went by plane to roam
Mom prayed hard for my care,
so that I would get aware.

Life went on with troubles and fun
Lots of day’s work was done
Never doubt, never fear
The values she gave were clear.

It’s been ninety four years ago
My gran tickled her toe
You still are with us God bless
Happy birthday mom, hug, kiss.
